These terms govern your use of Hayley, the voice thinking companion application ("the App"), operated by Ronan McCabe ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these terms.
Hayley is a personal thinking tool. It records your voice, transcribes it on your device, and uses AI to generate an insight, a pattern, and a question based on what you said. It is not a medical device, a mental health service, or a substitute for professional support of any kind.
Hayley is not therapy, counselling, or a clinical mental health tool. The insights and reflections it generates are not professional advice. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis or need professional support, please contact a qualified mental health professional or your local emergency services.
The voice entries you record and the text generated from them belong to you. We do not claim any ownership over your content. Audio is never stored or transmitted — it exists only in memory during the recording session and is discarded immediately after. Transcribed text is sent to Anthropic's API to generate insights and is not retained by us beyond the duration of that API call.
Hayley is available on a subscription basis following a 14-day free trial. Subscriptions are billed through the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) and are subject to their respective terms. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your device's subscription settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
You agree not to use the App to record others without their consent, to attempt to reverse engineer or extract the underlying AI prompts or models, or to use the App in any way that violates applicable law.
We provide the App on an "as is" basis. We do not guarantee that the App will be available at all times or that it will be error-free. We may update, modify, or discontinue features at any time.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
If we make material changes to these terms, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ireland.
